Sound healing questions, answered

What homes, teams and groups ask us before their first session. If yours isn't here, bring it to a Discovery Call — it's fifteen minutes and there's no obligation.

About sound healing

Sound healing uses live instruments — crystal and metal singing bowls, gongs and chimes — to guide the body into deep rest. You sit or lie down and listen; there's nothing to do. Sessions run 30 to 45 minutes. Most people feel their breathing slow within the first few minutes, and many drift in and out of sleep.

Crystal and metal singing bowls, a gong, koshi chimes and hand percussion. We choose and layer them for the group — a lounge of 25 residents gets a different setup from six people in a living room. Everything is played live; nothing is pre-recorded.

No. People sit or lie down and listen. There's no chanting, no movement, no sharing circle and nothing anyone has to say out loud. You can leave at any point, and people occasionally do.

No. We hold sessions as a sensory and nervous-system experience with no belief or practice attached. Nothing is said that anyone would need to opt out of, which matters in aged care homes and workplaces with residents and staff of every background.

Aged care

Yes. Sessions are non-verbal and sensory, so they don't rely on memory, language or following instructions. We keep the volume low, avoid sudden changes and adapt the format for seated groups, bedside visits or small groups depending on what residents can manage that day. Residents can leave whenever they want, and staff stay in the room throughout.

Up to around 25 in a lounge or activities room. Larger homes often run two sessions across different wings on the same visit, which costs less than two separate bookings.

A room with space for everyone to sit comfortably, a chair for each resident, and about 30 minutes before the session for us to set up. We bring every instrument, and we pack down afterwards.

Yes, and we'd encourage it — carers are often the most tired people in the building. Some homes add a dedicated staff sound bath to their monthly retainer under the Whole Home option.

Booking, pricing and logistics

Aged care homes run on monthly retainers starting at $220 for one 45-minute session a month, $420 for two or $700 for four. One-on-one sessions are available on request. Corporate and private group sessions are quoted to your group size and format. Travel within Sydney is included. Nothing is booked until you've seen the exact number.

Two to three weeks is ideal for a one-off session. For monthly retainers we set the recurring dates together on the Discovery Call — most homes take the same day each month, which is part of why it works.

Sydney and surrounds, including the Inner West, North Shore, Eastern Suburbs and Southern Sydney. Travel within that area is included in the price. For locations further out, get in touch and we'll tell you what's possible.

Yes — public liability cover, current Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and national police checks. We'll send the documentation for your records before the first session, without being asked.

They can leave at any point and nobody minds. Sound isn't for everyone, and we'd rather someone step out after ten minutes than sit through 45 they aren't enjoying.
