Harmonic Waves is where my love for music and helping people come together. I create live sound experiences that give people a chance to slow down, switch off and reconnect — wherever they are.
I was born in Ukraine, and from a young age I was always drawn to two things — music and helping people. I never really knew how these two parts of me would come together, but somehow they always stayed with me.
When I moved to Sydney, I started working in aged care. I loved being able to support people, but at the same time I was going through my own journey and looking for something deeper. That was when I discovered sound healing.
I still remember how different I felt after my first few sessions. There was something about sound that allowed me to slow down, quiet my mind and reconnect with myself in a way I hadn't experienced before. I became fascinated by it and eventually decided to train as a sound healing practitioner.
Once I started facilitating my own sessions, I realised that this work could reach far beyond the usual wellness spaces.
Because of my background in aged care, bringing sound healing to older people happened very naturally. I began seeing residents relax, become more present and connect with the sounds — including people living with dementia and residents who would rarely engage in other activities. That became a really important part of Harmonic Waves for me.
Over time, the same work naturally expanded into workplaces, private groups, events and one-on-one sessions. The setting might be completely different, but my intention is always the same — to create a space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves and experience a little more stillness.
Every session I offer is live and shaped around the people in front of me. I bring my instruments, my experience and my intuition, and allow each session to unfold a little differently.
For me, sound healing isn't about escaping everyday life. It's about creating space within it.
With love, Yuliia
Nothing loud, nothing sudden. Volume, length and instrument choice are set for the group in front of us, not a standard set list.
Seated, bedside or lying down. No mobility required, no experience, no belief system, nothing to opt into.
The first session is pleasant; the fourth is different. Residents recognise the sound, settle faster and stay longer. That's why we promote a regular rhythm rather than a single visit.
Crystal and metal singing bowls, a gong, koshi chimes and hand percussion. Each carries a different weight, and they get layered differently for a lounge full of residents than for six people in a living room.
A 30–45 minute recording of live instruments to use when you feel like you need a reset.
Fifteen minutes on the phone is the quickest way to find out whether this suits your residents, team or gathering. We're insured, with current WWCC and police checks.
